Sans flags or signage, a Medusa’s head air plant sprouts from a cherubic candle holder on Lake Tugaloo’s orange shore. Bienvenidos glampers.
Ian Marshall’s poems that accompany these photographs are from his book, Walden By Haiku.
those clouds
how they hang
nothing like it in paintings
dark now
the wind still roars
the waves still dash
paddle strike
the surrounding woods filled
with circling sound
a delicious evening
the whole body
one sense
trembling circles seek the shore
every disturbance
smoothed away
waves reflecting the sky
a darker blue
than the sky itself
